Describe who you are in 3 sentences:I am Raphaël LIPSZYC. I am working in the Wines & Spirit industry as a business development manager for a champagne brand. I am definitely a dreamer (nothing is impossible), a life lover (no one will enjoy the life for you so do it yourself). I clearly need some passion in all I do to give the best of myself.
What is your relation to this city?
Even if my name does not sound so “frenchy” (my father is from Poland, my mother from Greece and Turkey), I was born in Paris and I grew up in this magic city. Thanks to my job, I travel all around the world. I have to admit that I am always very happy to leave Paris but… I am always even more glad to be back. When you are far away from Paris, you realize how lucky you are to live here.

Weirdest experience?
You know… we are sometimes a little bit arrogant. Then the Parisian thinks that they knows Paris by heart. And one day, you just realize that you only know 3 or 4 districts. Not more... and then the typical question “do I need a passport to go in this district? It looks too far away from my home” :)
Your top 3 hangout spots?
A drink at the rooftop of the "Hôtel Raphael" for a 360° view of Paris. A tea at "Café de Flore" with a great book. Wander in the Montmartre street watching painters.
Favourite restaurants?
"Roxie Paris" for the great live band, "Il Carpaccio Royal Monceau" for a nice Italian way of life, "Uma Nota" for Brazilian/Japanese food… and of course French food in "Atelier Robuchon".
Best date place?
I will jump into the Parisian stereotype but nothing more romantic than a view of the Eiffel Tower for a date: "the Girafe restaurant". Better if your date is not a french girl! :)
Best Sunday spot?
After a walk in Le Marais, have a brunch under the arches at "Carette" in the middle of Place des Vosges.
If you were to live in another place, where would that be and why?
Definitely… NYC. New vibration, new spirit, new ambiance. And I hope my French accent speaking in English will have some charm in the US haha
Where is your escape place from this city?
Deauville, 200 km from Paris and you are close to the sea, eating shellfish, oysters and enjoying the beach.
Best 5 local advices?
1. Don’t be surprised if Parisians do not help you to find your way (they do not know how to answer in English).
2. Go up to the Eiffel Tower.
3. Hold the hand of your girlfriend and have a walk in the Jardin des Tuileries.
4. Try the concept of french 'aperitif': cheese, charcuterie & wines.
5. Have a nice cocktail at Rue Montorgueil, looks like a little village.
