This Way is surfing in St. Barths
Today we decided to explore surfing. It was my initiative and my boyfriends and friends that we were travelling with were keen on the idea. I have been surfing in Tel Aviv and in Santa Teresa in Costa Rica but I am not a pro and does definately not look like one! But more importantly is the sport activity super fun - and especially if you are a group.
We went to the best surf beach on St. Barths which is Lorient beach. In Lorient there are more waves than other parts of the island where the ocean are romantically quiet. We were together six people and had a private surf instructor to teach us techniques and find a suitable surf board for each of us. First e had to lie on the sand and jump directly into out "surf position" on the imaginary board. After we got a board and tried on the board so we were ready to explore the real deal when getting into the ocean. It was very funny and motivated - we all had such a blast!!!! Eventhough we drank half of the ocean and had salt water in my nose and throat for several hours after.
I love surfing and get high when accimplishing taking the waves all the way.
Below are pictures from the surf adventure.
